I purchased this book with high hopes after reading about thought field therapy in another book (When Working Out Isn't Working Out). The book is well written and easy to understand. After finishing the book I began trying the methods described therein right away. At first I wasn't too disappointed with the lack of results because I thought I might have done something wrong. I read the book again and tried the methods again. Still no results. I still did not give up. For weeks I have tried to make thought field therapy work for me. As of yet the results have been entirely negative.I cannot say that the method will not work for others. Perhaps I have, in some unknown way, missed something. But the methods are simple and it is hard for me to imagine what I might be doing wrong. I have to conclude that thought field therapy simply does not work for me.The method involves tapping various point of the body after thinking of an event that causes one anxiety. It is also supposed to work with physical pain, depression and other problems; however, it has not worked at any level for me. The book has clear illustrations about when and how to go about tapping (and humming, and counting) so one can easily follow the instructions. There is nothing complex about it, other than identifying the specific problem then going about the specific routine described in the book for that problem.All in all I would have given the book one star (and I do not recommend the book) because of the ineffectiveness of the program in my case; however, as the book was well written and illustrated and might work for someone else I have given it two stars.
I first tried thought field therapy with the help of a therapist around a high anxiety conversation which reduced from a 7 out of 10 in anxiety level to a 1 out of 10 in 20 minutes. This happened right before the anxiety inducing incident was about to happen so naturally I was amazed! I bought this book to get the protocol for doing this on my own. I tried with an anxious situation and with anger from driving a long distance in traffic and got both very quickly to a 0. The protocol and visuals are very clear and easy to follow. There is also some history and information here. This doesn't substitute for therapy for underlying issues but it does temporarily remove the impact of the reactions. Highly recommend!
Yu have to try this to believe it!!! I have been doing EFT for 10 years, with some remarkable success, but this book and technique are truly amazing! I wish I had read it 10 years ago, as its faster and simpler to use, with less trauma to the patient than the EFT. Dr. Callahan says it works at least 70-80% of the time, and in minutes a huge trauma or anxiety can literally collapse and be gone! It's based on quantum Physics and thought fields. Don't miss this one - it's fast, easy to do and remarkably effective for anxiety, trauma, phobias, even pain.
An absolutely life changing book. From haunting memories and emotions, to unwanted mental habits and addictive urges. This and so much more, TFT will remove them for you fast.TFT is without question much faster and more effective than EFT and can completely eliminate a wide array of issues with more precision.Roger Callahan has really changed my life and the lives of so many others. I cannot thank him enough for the work he has done in his lifetime.
This is an excellent book, and I'm glad I bought it. It is very detailed, and written so that everyone can understand it.
Very skeptical and even suspicious, but found it quite helpful in the healing process. Particularly in regards to emotional trauma. However it is important to remember that it is not a cure all. It more than delivers its promises, but one needs to also care to adjust factors in real life so that the physical health is able to support healing. The troubleshooting section was most informative and I recommend reading the book fully before proceeding. I find its most effective when one fully understands how it works and when it seems not to work what to look for. : ) i hope if you fellow consumer decided to buy, that you get as much relief from its use as I did.
Tapping is wonderful. I was terrified of anyone in a white coat, and my mind does not like all the colors and prints they have these days either - so you cannot fool me! I found I needed oral surgery and a friend did the original "tapping" technique on me. I am now far less afraid...still wary, but hey, it has helped me through the surgery and I can talk to a "white coat' without stuttering so much.
Thought Field Therapy is a powerful healing method, primarily for the emotions. This book details the use of TFT in the real lives of people suffering for years from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, bitterness, hopelessness, helplessness, among other devastating emotions. Time does not heal...although the pain MAY lessen it never goes away on it's own. But, with TFT the feelings can be released from the body. The stories here describe exactly how the indiivduals had suffered before their TFT treatment, and how they felt afterward. In only a few minutes or sometimes more time, permanent release from negative emotions had been achieved. this book is an excellent description of how anyone's life can be improved by using TFT.
This is a very interesting book about tapping in certain ways on places on your body to rid yourself of bad habits, can be used to rid yourself from soda, helps with alcoholism and many more things and highly recommend reading.
