About the Author
John O'Donohue was awarded a Ph.D. in philosophical theology from the University of Tübingen in 1990. He is the author of several works, including a book on the philosophy of Hegel, Person als Vermittlung; two collections of poetry, Echoes of Memory and Conamara Blues; and two international bestsellers, Anam Cara and Eternal Echoes. He lectures and holds workshops in Europe and America, and is currently researching a book on the philosophical mysticism of Meister Eckhart. He lives in Ireland.

I had read part of one of the poems on a website - Ihad read some of his poems from Anam Cara and thought them quite fine, On first reading ,I did not think these were as good I was intrigued by the group of poems entitled under the heading the Rosary Sonnets. The Sorrowful Mysteries are to me , the best of them and I will be reading all of them again plus will read all the poems in this grouping again as well.I have always thought that mood and feeling molds how we view what we read and a second reading of these poems will be worthwhile
arrived as promised.

Wonderful collection by a poet who died much too soon. This is a slim volume, but rich in thought and imagery. The Rosary Sonnets are a must-read. O'Donohue's work is accessible, and deeply touching.
