Mine was published on 06/09/2018 (at the bottom of the last page). Test #6 answer explanation has too many errors. Page 220, questions #2 does not exist and missing question #5's explanation. p.223, question #28's explanation is not the same question show on the test and the answer on the answer sheet is wrong too. My student's book was published on 05/03/2018, did not have the same errors as mine.Now I want to go through the whole book and see how many more errors are in there.
As a private SAT/PSAT tutor, I have taken or studied all of the Official SAT Practice tests released by the College Board.... I can say with full confidence that the 10 SAT Math Practice Tests by the College Panda are so closely aligned to the ACTUAL SAT Math section, that it is essentially impossible to tell them apart. Not all review materials are created equal.... this book, however, is the real deal. I cannot recommend it enough.
This book has some relatively realistic versions of the SAT's mathematics sections (both calculator and no-calculator). The problems tend to be harder than those found on the test itself, and some of the problems do not contextualize information in the problems in the way that the actual test would (for example, there are problems where "t" is a variable that is not defined as connoting time until the last sentence in the question itself). For students that have a strong mathematics foundation, this book can be really valuable. For those who struggle with math, it may prove to be more challenging than would be helpful.
This book and the advanced guide are the best SAT math prep books on the market today. The math problems are clearly explained and much easier to understand than what the college board publishes. Great for kids that can self-study. It helped improve my kid's SAT math score by 60 points. It would have been an additional 90 points improvement if it wasn't for the harsh June 2018 SAT's "equating" curve. If you can't afford these books, look at the website, thecollegepanda.com,which is a good starting point with solid tips and free examples.
This book is a life saver for students who are seeking for a score of 800 on the SAT math. It’s the right choice because it really focuses on the right content of what will be on the real test. With 10 practice math tests, it helps me improve my score in 2 months. I combined this book with the SAT math: Advanced Guide and Workbook to nail the math score. And let me tell u a secret : this book + Advanced Guide and Workbook = Perfection.
My daughter used these to prep for the SAT last fall. She scored 740. The SAT is very similar from one test to the next. The process of taking multiple tests is a great way to prepare. The tests were representative of the types of questions she saw on the actual test. Many of these books are not worth it. This one is.
This practice test book has helped my score stay consistently 700+! Before it was fluctuating a lot, but with this book I was able to practice, practice, practice and target specific types of questions that I was missing.If you want a more in-depth book, Mr. Phu's other SAT math book has a lot of great reviews. Otherwise, if you're looking for more practice, this book is great.
Great help going over all kinds of SAT math questions. Would definitely recommend with his Math book for in-depth studying. Have tried Princeton and other review books but the college panda is the best source for SAT help.
